Board Chairman of Aduana Stars, Berima Yeboah Kodie II has recounted the joy of winning their first Ghana Premier League trophy in the 2009/2010 season.

The Ogya boys made history in Ghana football by becoming the first club to win the premiership title on their debut season.

The team then coached by Herbert Addo beat Berekum Arsenals on the final day of the season 1-0 at the Dormaa Park courtesy a strike by Francis Larbi in the second half.

Berima Yeboah noted the contribution of the club’s life patron Osagyefo Nana Agyemang Badu to the team’s success story.

“when Osagyefo ascended the throne he promised the people of Dormaa he will ensure a team is formed in the town and truth to his word Aduana Stars was born.

“It’s been 10 years since we won the Ghana Premier League title and I want to use this opportunity to thank Osagyefo Nana Agyemang Badu, Dormahemaa and all the chiefs for supporting the club to glory.

"The ecstatic scenes in Dormaa when we clinched the title was a sight to behold and it was a historic feat”.
