Public Relations Officer of Aduana Stars, Evans Oppong says they are satisfied with how the new players have settled in the team.

The two-time Ghana Premier League champions have recruited and promoted eight players from the junior side to the senior team ahead of the Special Football league proposed by Ghana FA Normalization Committee.

The 'fire boys' in their Betway tournament in Obuasi Len Clay Stadium augmented the squad with new players where they placed fourth in a four-team tournament organised by the football betting company.

Speaking to Footballghana.com Evans Oppong revealed that the Betway tournament was purposely meant as exposure for the new boys for which they are satisfied, giving them (players) time to find their feet.

"We went into this competition to give most of our players exposure. Out of the 18 players presented, about nine of them were making their debut". They were promoted from our youth side and have not tasted division football before," he said.

"We started eight of them against Medeama SC and seven of them against Liberty Professional in the third-place match. We wanted to give them exposure and to test their mental temperament and their mental toughness which we had, so we are satisfied with what we saw".

"We saw a lot of prospect in them and given them enough time they will explode, the average age of 14 years not bad at all".

Evans, however, added that the reigning Ghana Premier League champions were disappointed with their position in the competition.

"In terms of our position at the just ended tournament, we are disappointed but we are pleased with our players' output. We believe our team will be ready after the 5-months break," he stated.

" We will still compete for the ultimate in the Special Football competition. People shouldn't access us with the young players promoted".

The Dormaa side are in camp training ahead of GFA Normalization Committee Special Football League.
