Aduana Stars striker, Yahaya Mohammed has disclosed why he was excluded from the club's 18 man squad ahead of the upcoming first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League against Libyan side Al Tahaddy.

The energetic goal poacher was hoping to make the 18 man squad but was surprisingly dropped by Yusif Abubakar.

It was however reported that the bulky striker was left out of the squad due to his poor form.

But the former Asante Kotoko striker says he failed to make the squad because he hasn’t had enough training with the team after his move.

“I couldn’t join the team early for preseason because I had to attend to some nagging family issues. When I did join later, I picked an injury and was compelled to play in G8 against Kotoko," Oyerepa FM

“My absence from the team has nothing to do with my form but rather an injury. No coach in the world can overlook a fit, Yahaya Mohammed."
