Aduana Stars coach Yusif Abubakar believes his side can still knock ES Setif out of the 2018 CAF Champions League despite their slender 1-0 advantage from the first leg.

The Ghanaian champions needed a 72nd-minute penalty from Sam Adams to separate the two sides in Dorma Ahenkro on Wednesday.

Aduana travels to Setif next week but it is feared the first advantage is not good enough to earn them promotion.

Abubakar nevertheless believes the tie still has legs and insists Aduana will head to North Africa in a confident mood.

"They came here with a rehearsed strategy and appeared to have worked for them. We are also going to adopt a different strategy in the reverse fixture," he said

"They are a very good team. Unfortunately, we couldn't utilize the chances that came our way. That's why we must be cautious going forward.

"We have what it takes to overcome in Algeria."

The return leg will be played in an empty stadium.

The two-time Ghana Premier League champions are seeking to play in the Group stage of the competition for the first time in their history.
