Advice To Black Star Selectors: Invite Hammond

After an impressive display as a substitute against Newcastle last week, young striker Elvis Hammond (born in Accra, Ghana) was given a chance up front for Fulham, in their home game against Chelsea. This was his first start of the season and I believe that he should be given a chance to justify his place in the national team - Black Stars.

Gerald Asamoah (Germany), Boateng(Netherlands), Desailly (France), Freddy Adu (USA): These Ghanaian born players choose to play for different countries, because they are good enough to challenge for places. However, players like Hammond (Fulham, England), Quashie (Porthsmoth, England), Agogo (?, England), with all due respect, are not going to be approached by England or any other foreign country. So, if they would like to play international football, then Ghana will be their only chance.

This is similar to most of the Senegalese players, as most of them could have played for France, but they knew that they had a better chance with Senegal.
