Africa's Hockey Teams Arrive For Afro-Asian Games

Africa's hockey representatives at the 1st Afro-Asian Games landed in Hyderabad Monday afternoon aboard an India Air chatered flight from Abuja where they participated in the 8th All Africa Games. The team, which incude Ghana (Men and Women), South Africa (Men and Women), Nigeria (Men and Women), Egypt (Men) and Kenya (Women), are expected to rub shoulders with India, Pakistan, Korea, and Malaysia in the Men's Category and India, Korea and China in the Women's category.

Africa's best will be on parade for the period and are expected to compete very well against Asia's best in the Games that have been fashioned to unite the two Continents through sports.

Ghana's men team, fresh from their Bronze winning performance in Abuja are expected to put up a good show to bring into focus the potential of the sport in the Country. Similarly, the women have a task of redeeminig themselves, having had some experience from the Abuja Games.
