Afriyie Acquah sees red in Parma defeat

Ghana international midfielder Afriyie Acquah was sent off while playing against his Black Stars compatriot Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu in the Italian Serie A on Monday night.

Acquah, 22, was marched off in the 77th minute after receiving his second booking of the night at the Estadio Communale Fruile as Udinese cruised to a 4-2 win.

It was the first time the powerful midfielder has been sent off in his league career.

While Acquah had to take an early shower, his international team-mate Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu lasted the entire duration of the game for Andrea Stramaccioni’s side.

Badu, who has hit a rich vein of form under the former Inter Milan manager set up Antonio Di Natale for the first goal after producing a moment of genius.

Di Natale added the second just in the nick of half-time to put Udinese in the lead for the first time in the game but Antonio Cassano drew the game opened by equalising for Parma.

However Udinese scored twice with Parma’s numerical disadvantage to win the tie and move third on the table.
