Injured Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah is set to join his Torino his team mate next week for their packed preseason programme. The workaholic Ghanaian import made a full recovery in New York and is set to arrive in Italy early next week for preseason programme.
The much sort after anchorman picked up an injury in the Black Stars 5-0 mauling of Ethiopia last month and has since been out action. The 24 year old will reportedly join his team mates in the second week of July where they will engage lower tier Italian sides on home soil before embarking on a trip to Austria. The hard tackling midfielder, a transfer target for a number of Serie A rivals, could not hide his excitement ahead of his return to the field.
“Everything has gone on well and I should be in Italy by next week to get ready for the preseason. I arrived in New York some few days ago to treat a slight injury I picked up during the Black Stars AFCON qualifiers with Ethiopia”, Acquah told FAVANS SPORTZ.
The Ghanaian enjoyed a stellar campaign last year in what was his best outing in Italy so far. The midfield anchor man has reportedly been flooded with several offers across Europe as a reward for his outstanding form in the Italian topflight.
