Agent claims Ajax interest in Obeng Regan

19-year-old midfielder, Obeng Regan is the subject of transfer war from clubs in Bundesliga, La Liga and most prominently Eredivisie's Ajax Amsterdam.

The product of Ghana club Feyenoord joined Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the 2010/2011 season making only 4 appearances under Coach Bogdan Korak before switching club to Serbia's Napredak Kruševac.

Standing at a height of 1.74m (5 ft81?2in), the Kumasi-born is relishing a move to Ajax, a club well known for their exploit in grooming and nurturing talents according to his agent.

"He himself has a preference for Ajax.There is interest from clubs for Regan from Bundesliga and the Premier League, but he is enamored of the Dutch school" says agent Goran Milovanovic on Friday at Ajax Showtime.

Regan, who played 24 games and scored once, as well as record a single assist last season, is on trials for two weeks with the Dutch club.

"We believe that Ajax is a good step in his career. Ajax is world famous for its youth. Regan now has two weeks to convince the club. Then we will hear what Ajax decides to do" added agent Milovanovic.

Regan who is popularly dubbed "The Ghanaian Maradona" for his trickery and grit has until mid-2016 for his contract to end with the Serbian club. The player with Ajax was tipped off by former Ajax player Marko Pantelic.
