Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has credited coach Stefano Colantuono for his impressive form at Udinese this season.
The 25-year-old is perhaps the most improved Ghanaian player abroad this term.
Badu has grown to be one of the key players for the Italian club with 14 Serie-A appearances already under his belt.
The former Berekum Arsenal man has already scored three goals – two more than his entire tally from last season – from his deep-lying midfield position.
And the Ghana international says he owes his enhanced form to his coach Colantuono especially for giving him the license to bomb forward.
“Under this coach I have improved a lot because he has given me the freedom to attack more,” Badu told Kasapa FM.
“He knows I am capable of attacking very well and is also aware I am able to come back to help with defensive duties when need be.
“So I think this has helped me a lot this season.”
The Ghana midfielder has recovered from a recent knock and is expected to play for Udinese in the Coppa Italia clash against Lazio on Thursday.
