Declaring his expectations and plans for next season, the U-20 World Cup winner said, “I need to stay away from injuries because that is every footballer's dream, be healthy, focused and do my job. This is what I love best, so I’m just hoping for an injury free season this year.”
Debut Season in Turkey
Having played in the Italian Serie A for six years, the 2009 African Youth Championship winner said he couldn’t overlook the opportunity that smiled at him to play in Turkey; hence the decision to swap Italy for Turkey.
“I have been in Italy for 6 good years playing for only Udinese so when the opportunity came I couldn’t think twice because I needed new challenges. I went there with full hope and we started the league very well, unfortunately, in the latter part of the league I got injured which affected me and the team for two months but thank God that I am back now.
Describing his debut season at Busaspor, Badu said, “It was fine, the change of weather, food, language and the tactics of the game has helped because in Italy the game is very tactical, it’s open play and when you have the pace you get space to go and its one of my talents in the game.
