Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has paid a glowing tribute his late sister Hagar who was shot dead by a gunman on Monday morning.

The man reportedly shot the woman on Monday morning for reasons unknown to neither the Police nor the family of the deceased.

Officers are currently soliciting tip-off and other vital information which could lead to the arrest of the fugitive killer who is believed to be in a hideout around the area or probably crossed the Ghanaian border to the Ivory Coast.

The midfielder, who shot the last penalty kick that won Ghana an historic gold at the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup, has penned an emotional farewell message to his late sister.

This is a time my faith is being tested greatly. Although my sister Hagar is in a better place now, where no one can hurt her, it has not been easy for me to accept her sudden demise. I am even more broken that I could not say a proper goodbye to a sister who has held my hand as a child and was still doing so.

Your loving messages, your condolences, your counsel, your unending support has pointed me to the path of healing and I’m eternally grateful to you all.

Thank you for helping me to grieve, laugh and cry as I still remain in self-isolation. Your words however short kept me sane. Thank you!

I pray you help us find the culprit soon. In doing so to help my family, do not forget we are not in ordinary times. Continue to follow the Covid-19 protocols. Wash your hands regularly under running water, sanitize regular with a sanitizer with 60% or more alcohol base. Cough and sneeze in your elbow, avoid handshakes and most importantly avoid crowded places. Help us find the culprit without compromising your health and safety. Together we can fight corona and domestic violence.

God bless you all #RIPHagar #staysafe #washyourhandsunderrunningwater #sanitizeregularly #practicegoodhygiene #coughinyourelbows #togetherwecanfightCovid-19
