Former Ghana and AS Roma midfielder Ahmed Apimah Barusso is training with Dansoman based liberty professionals as he prepares to make a comeback to the field.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been out of action for over a year after picking a career-threatening injury while playing for Italian side Novara.
Barusso who was a member of Ghana’s team which finished third in the Cup of Nations in 2008 has had short stints with Galatasaray, Siena, Brescia and Torino in the past.
Blessed with a powerful physique and an incredible shooting technique Barusso says he is looking forward to making a move back to Europe in the January transfer window.
“Well I am not thinking of retiring from football now and I am very much grateful to God and I am feeling very well with training,” Barusso told Accra based CITI-FM
“I am looking forward to securing a new club but nothing is confirmed now but I looking forward to the January transfer window.”
The tough tackling midfielder has been capped 6 times for the Black Stars and has a goal to his name.
