Striker Ahmed Toure says he returned the 2,000 Ghana cedis given him by Hearts of Oak and no longer owes the club as speculated.
Toure claims he traveled to Accra with his own money to commence talks with Hearts’ management contrary to reports that the Phobians paid for his trip.
He said after featuring in a game for Hearts, the club’s management gave him Ghc2, 000 to fly to his native Ivory Coast.
But he duly returned the money to Hearts after signing for Kotoko.
“Even the Hearts accountant called to thank me when he received the money,” Toure told Ultimate Radio in Kumasi.
