Akyemfour United defy odds to beat Rainbow

Ajumako Kromaim Akyemfour United defied the home support of Cape Coast Super Rainbow to beat them 3-2 in their second division football league match played at the Cape Coast Siwdu Stadium on Friday.

Outside left Cisco Amoako who was the hero of the match, scored a hat-trick to power his club to victory. Amoako opened the scoring in the 10th minute and was on target again in the 15th minute.

Down by two goals, Super Rainbow threw everything into attack and following persistence pressure on the visiting team; a hard-pressed defender handled the ball in their vital area.

Cape Coast-based Class One referee, Felix Meshiame, whistled for a spot kick which was converted by Nathaniel Annan in the 40th minute.

On resumption, Super Rainbow never looked back. They maintain the pressure on the visitors and in the process, earned another penalty in the 55th minute for Annan to level up matters.

The game then swung from one end of the field to the other until the 83rd minute when Amoako grabbed the match winner for United.
