Al-Ain management to mourn with Gyan

A high powered delegation from oil rich club Al-Ain of United Arab Emirates (UAE) is expected to mourn with bereaved Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan next weekend.

They will join their star player to mourn his late mother Cecilia Love Amoako at her Mamponteng residence in the Ashanti region on March 16.

There would be wake-keeping and the body would be laid in state on Friday March 15, at her Gbawe residence in Accra.

It would be followed on Saturday March 16 by a burial service at the St. Stephens Methodist church, New Gbawe.

The body would be taken to the Kotoka International Airport to be flown to Mamponteng for burial before noon on Saturday.

The deceased left behind a husband and four children. Cecelia, 61, was involved in a motor accident at the Accra Teacher’s Hall in November last year and was pronounced dead at the Ridge Hospital, Accra, shortly on arrival.
