Al Jazira join race for Ghana’s Andre Ayew

UAE giants Al Jazira are planning a mega bid for Ghana international Andre Ayew – a move that could make him one of the highest paid players on the continent.

The Abu Dhabi club are also eyeing to bring Brazilian superstar Robinho to the Arabian Gulf League, but their top most target, according to UAE newspaper The National, is the Marseille winger.

The Dubai club are reportedly willing to pay €4.5 million (Dh22.1m) a year to bring Robinho to Dubai from Milan and the AGL champions are in a pole position with their bid but could pay €6.5 million a year for Ayew, who is on the wanted list of top clubs including Napoli, Milan among others, Goal Ghana understands.

It is not certain whether a move to the non-competitive UAE league will interest young Ayew, despite the huge money he could get if he decides to move to Al Jazira.
