Black Stars defender Alexander Djiku has returned to training with Fenerbahce after missing the September 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Fenerbahce center-back sustained an injury in the match against Alanyaspor just before the international break, which kept him out of the games against Angola and Niger.
However, the 30-year-old is making good progress in his recovery, having undergone individual training on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Fenerbahce training complex.
Djiku remains doubtful for the upcoming game against Kasimpasa this weekend, but he is expected to be fully fit for the derby against Galatasaray the following week.
Djiku has been a crucial player for Jose Mourinho's team at the start of the new season, with Fenerbahce remaining unbeaten in the Turkish Super Lig.
Meanwhile, Ghana coach Otto Addo is hopeful that the former Strasbourg defender will stay fit ahead of next month's doubleheader against Sudan in the Nations Cup qualifiers.
