Charles gets another opportunity to amend B/A United failure

*By Raymond Yeboah*

There is time for everything. A time to make a mistake and to rectify it and also gain experience from it. That’s why l am not surprised that Micky Charles has been handed the job as Chief Executive Officer of former premiership side B/A Stars.

When renowned businessman cum bankroller of the club Toney Bennet had faith in Takyi Arhin because of his football administration background, he badly disappointed him by sending the team to relegation. Definitely Charles Kwadwo Ntim Alias Micky Charles has a lot of work to do if he is to fulfill the heart desire of Toney which Arhin couldn’t honour.

Takyi Arhin failed as CEO because he thought on paper he was good because he knew the rules of the game by heart but putting it into practice on the field was his demise. Before Arhin was appointed and failed he had already been a failure to a second division side Super Dragons at the same position.

Now Micky Charles, by all standards has the wit to deliver though he is the master of sports presentation, a great DJ and good communicator which to me the best position for him is public relations in any field but not football. He even couldn't handle a traditional club like B/A United which command great support let alone B/A Stars.

I am not saying this to discourage him though. Who knows may be he is going to prove everybody including me wrong now that he has the chance and all logistics at his disposal because any one who fails to handle B/A Stars should be regarded as most ineffective football administrator. Football is made by finance and what would you lack when working for Toney Bennet, ask.

Micky has two important instruments to succeed in as CEO now, he is part of one of the subcommittees in the FA and also they rule Ghana politically. So what else will be your excuse if u disappoint when you have all this fertile background and environment as your support.

If Micky is determined, he can qualify the team back into the Premiership easily because the zone1B is not all that hot as compared to previous years. Now Bechem are in the Premier division, Bofo and B/A United are suffering from kwashiorkor because financially they are broke so they can't put up any competitive performance to B/A Stars.

So Micky good luck if you are not going to repeat same mistake of appointing sports presenters as your management team this time, I wont sound like a prophet of doom but when it is going bad l wont remain mute.
