Allow Black Stars handlers the free hand to make call-ups - Afranie

Veteran Coach Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie says the call of some specific players into the Black Stars team should be the prerogative power of the technical handlers of the Black Stars.

He made this assertion on the hype of the numerous calls for Hearts of Oak player Laryea Kingston to be included in the Black Stars team in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking to Accra based Radio Station XYZ, the former Black Stars head Coach says, “These numerous calls to get some people into the Black Stars team should only be the duty of the technical handlers. They can do their job. The media and all stakeholders should leave this to the coaches.”

The technical handlers of the Black Stars team will name a 23-man squad that will leave for a training tour in the United Arab Emirates of which will also be submitted to the Confederation of African Football for the upcoming African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
