Allow coaches to recruit their own players - Inter Allies coach tells club owners

Inter Allies head coach Prince Owusu has advised club owners in Ghana to allow their coaches to sign their own players.

According to the former Medeama SC, it would be prudent for coaches in the Ghana Premier League to be allowed to sign players they believe can suit their style of play to ease off pressure on them.

He explains if coaches sign their own players it would make their work a bit easier particularly with their formation on the pitch.

The former Ghana U20 trainer says such practices are not the best and should not be encouraged hence appealing to club owners and CEO’s to put a stop to that.

He shares the opinion that players who are signed by club owners for clubs may struggle to adapt the game pattern of their technical handlers since they were not recruited upon their recommendation.

”I want to talk something now I think this year everybody should listen carefully, let’s talk to our team owners that they should do the best thing, the best thing they have to do is to hire and coach and allow hi to do his own recruitment”

”This coach[ Dzravko Logarusic] here is coaching and he wants to play system but he doesn’t have the guys to play that role, he is finding difficulties and we have been blaming him he;s not good because he didn’t do his own recruitment the same thing is happening to Accra Hearts of Oak right now as we speak.

”They finished recruitment before they had a coach so when that happens the coach comes and has no choice than to use those players which makes the work very difficult for them” he said at a post match conference on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko were held to a 0-0 goalless draw by visitors Inter Allies in their Ghana Premier League week 9 fixture at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday.

The Porcupine warriors will travel to Tarkwa to face Medeama SC who picked a point in their away match against Tema on Wednesday at the Tarkwa T&A Park.
