Chairman of the Premier League Board, Wilbeck Abra-Appiah has expressed shock at the loss of AshantiGold CEO Cudjoe Fianoe in the GFA Ex. Co elections held at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday.

According to the PLB Boss, the clout of Cudjoe Fianoe did not give any hint that he could lose the election on a first round and that he personally felt that the Ashgold CEO’s loss is a big blow to the sports world.

Speaking exclusively to GHANAsoccernet.com, Abra-Appiah said, “I am shocked by the fact that Cudjoe Fianoe did not win. But I am happy that we now have a lot of premier league representatives on the Ex. Co.”

“I am personally surprised at the loss of Cudjoe Fianoe because he is a workaholic and very open. He is a jovial character who is loved by everyone. His loss is painful because we’ve lost a gem in our football administration,” he added.

Cudjoe Fianoe pulled five votes after all the sixteen clubs have voted and Abra Appiah thinks that it is not refreshing news for the Ghanaian football world.
