Leicester City new recruit Daniel Amartey left London on Sunday afternoon to Copenhagen to complete his paper works.

Amartey completed his move to the English Premier League side on Friday where he signed a four-and-a-half-year contract.

The centre back who can play as defensive midfielder and right back moved after playing two seasons with Danish side FC Copenhagen.

But his work permit could not be processed in time for him to debut in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Stoke City at the King’s Power Stadium.

“His work permit has been worked on but with that you have to be outside England before the process that can take effect. So he has returned to Copenhagen, he will pick it up on Monday and then report at the club on Tuesday,” Amartey’s Guardian Angel Yusif Chibsah told GHANASoccernet.com

Amartey should be available for Leicester next match against Liverpool at Anfield.
