Amartey will excel at Afcon 2015 - Inter Allies boss

Inter Allies team manager Ruben Adjetey has said he has no doubt Daniel Amartey will excel with Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 20-year-old FC Copenhagen versatile defender was named in Avram Grant’s final 23-man squad for the Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea.

Adjetey, who managed the youngster at colts level, insists the former Djurgårdens IF player will prove a point.

“First of all I congratulate Dan for making the final 23 squad, it doesn't come as a surprise because I knew what he can do,” the manager told Goal Ghana.

“I’m very happy he made the final list, I have always been telling him God’s time is the best and finally God has made his dreams come true. I have no doubt he will excel at the Nations Cup when he gets the chance to play.

“I have never doubt his qualities since his time with my colts club and Inter Allies. He's a very strong and young player and I believe a few years to come he will be the player to carry the Black Stars on his shoulders,” he claimed.

Ghana have been paired in the same group with Senegal, Algeria and South Africa.
