Ghana Center Amida Brimah will suit up for San Antonio Spurs Gatorade (G) League affiliate side, Austin Spurs in the upcoming season. Brimah makes the Spurs roster after missing out on a roster spot with the main team following a preseason Training Camp Invite.

The 6 foot 11 inch defender is one of 14 players called up to the team per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com ahead of the season which tips off on November 3 with a game against Salt Lake City Stars.

The call ups include former 2013 first round pick Livio Jean-Charles and 2017 Second Round Draft Pick Jaron Blossomgame.

Like fellow Ghanaian and former Spurs invitee Ben Bentil, Amida will get his chance to prove his worth in the NBA’s lower tier competition.

Brimah is an athletic, rim protector and shot blocker whose game is deeply rooted in te fundamental aspects of the game.

He averaged three points and three rebounds in three preseason games for San Antonio but averaged five minutes.
