Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew says he is delighted after playing his first game for Turkish giants Fenerbahçe in their pre-season friendly victory over Italian side Cagliari on Wednesday night.
The 28-year-old was handed a start and played for 58 minutes before being replaced by Baris Alici.
Ayew made a huge impact in the match and was instrumental as the Yellow and Canaries secured a 2-1 win against the Italian side at the Ülker Fenerbahçe ?ükrü Saraço?lu Sports Complex.
After the game, the deputy Black Stars captain, who was given a warm reception at the start of the game thanked fans of the club and expressed his excitement on playing for the first time for the club.
He posted on Twitter,"Happy to play my first friendly game for the club. Good win .We thank Allah.. lets prepare for next week."
The Ghana midfielder signed a season-long loan with the Turkish Super Lig side from Swansea City on Friday.
He is expected to play a key role for Fenerbahce in the upcoming season.
