Andre Ayew delighted with chance

Marseille's Andre Ayew is delighted to have made his first Champions League start ever at the age of 17.

Ayew is Abedi Pele?s son - the former Ghana international who won the Champions League with Marseille in 1993 - and is starting to make a name for himself in the French league.

The young attacker started L?OM?s Champions League game at Porto while Djibril Cisse was on the bench.

The former reserves player remains calm after having been used by manager Eric Gerets in the premier European competition.

?It was a football game like the other ones, I had to enter the pitch to do well,? he said. ?I was not that bad so I am happy.

?I have been lucky to start in such a competition. I now have to work hard to stay in the team.

?Champions League is another world. But we are just there to play with a ball. You have to prove yourself on the grass.?
