Ghana star Andre Ayew played his first match for Turkish giants Fenerbahçe on Wednesday in a pre-season friendly against Cagliari.

The 28-year-old was handed a start and played for 58 minutes before being replaced by Baris Alici.

Ayew made a huge impact in the match and was instrumental as the Yellow and Canaries secured a 2-1 win against the Italian side at the Ülker Fenerbahçe ?ükrü Saraço?lu Sports Complex.

The Ghana midfielder signed a season-long loan with the Turkish Super Lig side from Swansea City on Friday.

He is expected to play a key role for Fenerbahce in the upcoming season.
