Ghana winger Andre Ayew was involved in full-time action for Swansea City as the Welsh side suffered a 3-0 battering at relegation-threatened Newcastle United on Saturday.
Francesco Guidolin's men went into the game at the St James' Park on their back impressive win over Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium.
But a Newcastle side handled by former Real Madrid and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez needed nothing but victory from the game and they did so emphatically.
Hanging on to a 1-0 lead given to them by Jamal Lascelles in the first half, Newcastle benefitted from the late introduction of Aleksandar Mitrovic to break away and score two more against a flaccid Swansea City.
Moussa Sissoko, made captain by Benitez, scored the second with eight minutes to go and Andros Townsend slid in a third in the 89th minute.
Swansea have secured their own Premier League status after winning against Chelsea last weekend.
