Agent of Ghana star Andre Ayew says time is running out if Sunderland want to Sign him from Swansea City.
The 26 year old player has been a prime target of Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce who offered a £12mn deal including Fabio Borini for the services of the Ghanaian deputy captain.
But speaking in an interview, Mark Mackay who’s the agent of the player insist the Black Cats must step up the chase in-order to beat the transfer deadline[on monday].
“Time is running out though if they are to try to sign him by Monday,”- Mackay told Dailymail
“I’m surprised Andre is still at Swansea in a way, Sam Allardyce, a manager I have great respect for, made a very good proposal but Swansea have been determined to keep him”
“Sam recognised that he is a player of talent and character who has continued to perform well in a struggling side.
“He has proven in his career he has the mentality and ability to perform on the big stage whether it’s the Premier League, Champions League or World Cup and that has attracted interest from a lot of big clubs.”
Andre Ayew has been the best player at Swansea this season following his free transfer from Olympique Marseille to the Barclays Premier League during the summer.
Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin has described Ayew as a very important player as he looks to stamp his own style on the team and move them up the table.
Clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool and Leicester are all reported to be keeping a keen eye on the player and ready to whisk him away from the South Whales side anytime soon.
