Andre Ayew sends words of encouragement to football family amidst Coronavirus scare

Captain of the senior national team of Ghana, Andre Ayew has sent words of encouragement to the football world following the global outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Sports has been hit the hardest by the Coronavirus leading to the suspension of several events including football, the NBA, Tennis and Motor GP.

Ayew wrote on social media encouraging affected and unaffected families and friends to weather the storm as the world fights the deadly virus.

"As the world takes the decisive steps to combat the spread of the deadly coronavirus which is wrecking havoc too families, communities and nations, I want to urge you all to continue to adhere strictly to all preventive advice to help stay healthy and also help curb the spread of the pandemic," wrote Ayew.

Ghana is experiencing increasing numbers with a week after it was announced that eleven cases have been reported so far.

Andre Ayew could have been in the country prepare for the Black Stars AFCON 2021 qualifier against Sudan but the game was cancelled.

"To fellow football, fans and families that have been affected, I wish to express my sympathies and I pray to Allah to comfort you and grant you healing mercies," he continued.

"To the frontline health workers who are working around the clock all over the world to assist those affected, Keep doing your best for humanity."
