Ghanaian midfielder Andre Ayew is preparing for a new chapter in his career as he is set to play under the guidance of newly appointed coach Didier Digard at Le Havre.

The club's management considered several candidates, including Zoumana Camara and Stéphane Dumont, to fill the vacancy left by Slovenian coach Luka Elsner. However, they ultimately decided on Didier Digard, who played a significant role in OGC Nice's recovery during the 2022-2023 season.

According to FT, the 37-year-old Didier Digard, who recently obtained his BEPF certification, impressed Le Havre's decision-makers with his dedication to training and his ability to connect with young players. He will now take the helm as the new coach of Ciel et Marine.

Andre Ayew, 34, joined Le Havre in November 2023 and has since been a vital player for the team. During the 2023/24 season, he made 20 appearances in all competitions and scored six goals for Le Havre.
