Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew led a comeback for his Swansea City side in the English Premier League on Sunday.

Ayew equalized Juan Mata’s goal with a fine header before creating the winner for Bafetimbi Gomis.

The Swansea new boy who now has three Premier League goals in four appearances said after the game when asked about his goal and assist:

“What was important was the game. We really wanted to win at Sunderland and we couldn’t come back with a victory so we really wanted to win this game today.

“It was quite a difficult game and we went deep into ourselves to win this game. This shows that we have a great mentality.

“It’s not always they [Manchester United] can have the ball and play and win. Sometimes it’s difficult. You need to be tactical and that’s what we did. We are very happy.

Asked which of his contribution [goal or assist] was he more proud of, the Baclays man of the match for the game against Manchester United, Andre Ayew said:

“Honestly the pass was for me more important because that put us ahead and I knew we had the player to hold this victory and we did really well. We showed a lot of team spirit.”
