Annan makes Schalke’s Champs League squad

Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Annan is in the Schalke 04 team to face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Uefa Champions League.

Die Knappen were humiliated by six goals to one in the first leg and it will take a great deal of hard work to comeback in Spain on Tuesday.

Schalke boss Jens Keller has included the Ghanaian enforcer in his squad for tonight’s game though he is yet to play for the club this season.

Also included is Kevin-Prince Boateng, Chinedu Obasi and Joel Matip but Boateng might not be made to play full time because of the Bundesliga fixture this weekend.

Annan who has been told that he could leave Gelsenkirchen in the summer is already a transfer target of Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

He is likely to get some minutes in the fixture.
