Anthony Boakye Wins Youngest Cyclist Award

16-year-old cyclist Anthony Boakye was crowned the youngest ever cyclist to have taken part in any major Cycling tour in the country.

Boakye who was part of team Ghana’s contingent in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, failed to make any position in the Cowbell Cycling Tour of the three regions, but made a decent run and was crowned as one the most promising cyclist ever to take part in a major tour in the country.

“The future of Anthony Boakye is bright and we have to keep an eye on him, he is one for the future, no wonder he was part of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow,” Shaban Mohamed Technical Director of Ghana Cycling Association (GCA) said.

He added, ”These are some of the people who we want to focus on, cycling is a big sport and if we are able to get all things right at this stage we will be able to produce more talents in the country”.
