Antwi-Bosiako is the winner of Tema Golf tournament

Accra, Mar. 12, GNA - Nana Antwi-Bosiako returned a net score of 64 to be crowned champion of the Tema Country Club monthly golf tournament on Saturday and a good omen for the man who celebrates his birthday on Sunday, March 13.

The "birthday man", a board member of Ghana Telecom, also scored a remarkable eight under-par in a low-keyed tournament competed for by 24 gofers. He told the GNA Sports that he was motivated by the up-coming birthday and wanted something special to mark it. Nana Antwi-Bosiako said his performance was a prototype of what he intends exhibiting on Sunday, March 19, in the annual "Swing for the Child" tournament in aid of the less privileged people in the Ghanaian society.

Peter Amenyo and Alex Fiagomey who scored 67 and 69 respectively followed him. In spite of the outstanding performances by the first three winners, it was Nii Kpakpo Oti Ankrah, competition's secretary who stole the show. He delivered an amazing hole-in-one (kicking from start straight into the hole) which hardly happens in competitions.

In the ladies event, Florence Etwi-Barimah scored a net of 69 to beat her sole challenger Esther Antwi who returned a net score of 72.
