Anxious wait as Asamoah Gyan suffers injury against Guinea

Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan, is a huge doubt for the all-important semi-final clash against Equatorial Guinea after picking up an injury against Guinea.

Gyan, 29, came out worst after a nasty clash with Guinean goalkeeper Nabby Yattara, who got an early shower for his troubles.

The former Sunderland striker is unable to walk on his own and requires the help of team officials to cover distance.

It is still unclear the extent of the damage, but coach Avram Grant will hope that his talisman recovers in time to play a part in the semi-final clash against Equatorial Guinea.

He recovered from Malaria to score the all import goal in their 1-0 win against favorites Algeria in the group stages.
