Accra, March 14, GNA - Anyetei Laryea, National and West Africa Super Bantamweight Champion will storm Benin next month to defend his crown against hard punching Justin Savi of Benin.
The fight was originally scheduled for Ghana under the Ambitions Boxing Promotions Syndicate but upon request from the Beninoise to stage it, the Ghanaian promoter relinquished the right to them.
Information gathered from the secretariat of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) by the GNA Sports reveals that the fight is scheduled for April 15, in the West African country.
The camps of the two boxers are therefore making preliminary arrangements on pertinent issues concerning the organisation of the fight.
Savi is well remembered for his outstanding performance against Osmanu Akaba, World Boxing Council (WBC) International Featherweight champion at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra, late last year. The Beninoise demolished the Ghanaian in that fight as he sent him unto the canvas on many occasions and opened series of cuts on the face of Akaba.
The said fight was declared a draw on the night, but the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) over-turned the decision some few days after the fight.
Laryea, who threw a challenge to Savi just after the Beninoise defeated Akaba, is expected to combine his great skills and style in the art to put a stop to the bluff of Savi. Savi on the other hand has proven to all Ghanaians that he is no minced meat and will be all out to stop Laryea, especially when he is fighting at his own back yard. 14 Mar. 05
