Renowned sports journalist, Saddick Adams, has called for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to be dissolved following the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to him, the GFA’s decision to render an apology to the public and dissolve the Black Stars management committee are not enough to make up for the team’s disgraceful performance.
He stated that it would be prudent for the Black Stars team to be dissolved.
Speaking in an interview with TV3, Saddick Adams called for the GFA to be dissolved so new persons can steer the affairs and manage Ghana football.
"You can clearly see the deliberate attempts to hoodwink people into thinking that something has been done. It is a clear, reckless decision that has led us to this point. There was no management committee following the team in those two crucial games. So this is not what’s supposed to be dissolved.
"We have called for the entire dissolution of the GFA. We have called for the disbandment of the team. We have called for the dissolution and overhaul of the technical team. In principle, these are the very key components that will trigger some sort of change that will be very significant," he said.
He commented after the Black Stars, led by coach Otto Addo, failed to qualify for the AFCON for the first time in 20 years.
