The Public Relation Officer of the National Sports Authority, Madam Frederica Mensah believes the security demands for Stephen Appiah’s testimonial game inflated the amount demanded by the NSA.

Madam Frederica Mensah was explaining the demand of Ghc30,000.00 demanded from the organizers of the Stephen Appiah testimonial game before the usage of the Accra Sports Stadium in an interview with Best FM.

According to Madam Frederica, “the testimonial match is a high profile game and it will need a lot of money to pay for security and the service of waste collecting company, ZoomLion, to make the stadium ready for the Jun 27 farewell match. We are demanding Ghc30,000.00, but the organizers of the event believe the amount is too much and I believe it is negotiable.

“Part of the money will also be used for the maintenance of the stadium. Percentage of what we collect from gate proceeds goes to the sports ministry. We are working on changing the scoreboard into a digital one very soon. We will bring experts to work on it”.

Primeval, the organizers of Stephen Appiah’s farewell game have been asked to cough up a whopping Ghc30,000.00 before they can use the Accra Sports Stadium for the June 27, 2015 match.
