Appiah confers with Mid-West MD

Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah on Wednesday conferred with the Managing Director of Mid-West Ghana limited, Mr. Mike Twum-Barimah.

The move was to extend a personal invitation to Mr. Twum-Barimah, to attend the Dinner and Testimonial Match planned by Primeval Media in honour of Appiah after retiring from active football.

Mr. Twum-Barimah, informed Appiah, that he will be part of the two events aimed at bidding him farewell after serving the nation diligently.

He said, Appiah has distinguished himself well in Ghana and on the international scene.

“I travel a lot to Turkey and your name is a household name there. Whenever people get to know I am Ghanaian they ask of you and tell me how good you were when you were playing for Fernabache.

“This is the time for the nation to show you the needed support in this venture.” He added.

Appiah expressed appreciation to the renowned business man for accepting his invitation to participate in the two events.

He said the aim of the two events to expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for supporting him throughout his career.

“Ghanaians have supported me throughout my career especially when I was the captain of the Black Stars.” Appiah noted.
