Areeba Supports Stars? Fans

AREEBA, GHANA?S largest mobile phone network, has given a boost to the Black Stars, ahead of their African Nations Cup finals. Areeba has sponsored a group of supporters, to give the team, the needed support, in Egypt.

The package is in response to a request made to Areeba by the Ministry of Education and Sports, towards the organisation of a vibrant support base, for the Black Stars? CAN 2006 campaign.

Each member of the group of 100 Areeba subscribers, would benefit from a package, which comprises return air tickets, accommodation, match tickets, transportation, to and from t he matches, medical, as well as life insurance, and $200 as pocket money. These lucky 100 subscribers, were chosen among Areeba?s most valued customers, as a sign of appreciation for their immense patronage, over the years.

?We have, over the years, demonstrated our commitment towards the development of sports, and therefore, see this package, as yet another way, to help propel Ghana soccer to even, greater heights,? says Mr. Ahmad Farroukh, managing director of Areeba.

Mr. Farroukh adds: ?Even though the Stars will be playing far away, from home, the presence of cheering Ghanaians, in the stands will greatly boost their morale, and this is exactly what we sought to do, with this package.? The group departs Accra for Egypt, on Thursday, January 19, 2006, where they would be attending Ghana?s group games.
