Arhin Duah down with heel injury

Asante Kotoko’s South African sports doctor, Rossel Poteiger might have successfully treated players with various degrees of injury ahead of the 8th December African Cup Winners Cup final with Wydad Athletic of Casablanca but striker Nana Arhin Duah has added his name to the injury roster.

The Kotoko striker, picked up the heel injury during the club’s trial game against the Black Stars last Friday. As many recuperate, Arhin Duah’s injury means the South African doctor would have to work around the clock to get the striker fit for the game.

Nana Arhin Duah did not train on Saturday as the team did light training. Arhin Duah’s problem might not be the only injury scare to Asante Kotoko but striker; Shilla Alhassan’s foot rot is yet to heal completely.

Shilla has missed almost three days of training. He also watched his colleagues from the sidelines on Saturday likewise Hamza Mohammed, who picked a knock during the game with the Black Stars.

But the club’s doctors are optimistic that, the trio would all be match fit for the decider on Sunday. Another refreshing news is that, winger; Michael Osei’s knee injury is healed.

He participated in all forms of exercises last Saturday as Rossel Poteiger examined the knee and ordered the removal of the bandage around the knee.
