Arhinful cautions Black Stars

Former Black Stars player Augustine Arhinful has cautioned players of the Black Stars to be modest and respectful in their life styles, since there is always life after football.

Speaking in an interview with Happy Fm, Arhingful said the current crop of players must always bear in mind that, their current status will not remain same forever adding that, a time will come, they will no longer enjoy what they are enjoying today.

“I have been there before and I know what am talking about. There were certain decision I should have taken during my playing days but I failed to do it.

“My late wife kept telling me certain things which I should have listened to but I did not and today I regret for those things,” he stated.

He said the absence of the players at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry, was a major blow to their image.

According to the former player, the commission provided the best platform for the players to state their case but they refused to make an appearance.

“I was disappointment at their absence. They will have done a lot to their image if they had appeared more especially after winning the game against Guinea,” he added.

According to Arhinful, the letter from the legal team of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) was unnecessary.

He said the explanation of the GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi was enough to prevent the criticisms from the chairman of the commission.
