Newly appointed Aduana Stars head coach, Aristică Cioabă, has emphasized the importance of togetherness in the club’s bid to turn their fortunes around. The Dormaa-based club has had a poor start to the season, managing just two wins from twelve games.

The 2017 Ghana Premier League champions currently sit fourteenth on the league standings, having already suffered four losses—a situation that led to Yaw Acheampong's dismissal.

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Aduana FC announced the appointment of Aristică Cioabă, charging the Romanian with the task of turning the club’s fortunes around.

In an interview with Dormaa FM, Cioabă acknowledged the challenging task ahead and stated that it would take more than tactics to revive the team.

He called on the fans and management to support the club during this difficult period in the Ghana Premier League, stressing the importance of collective effort.

“If the supporters trust my return, they should come closer to me because I need them. I like and love the supporters deeply, and every time I come here, I have a great relationship with them. I understand the team is struggling, but if we are to rise again, it will require the combined efforts of management, staff, players, and the fans. I urge them to come and support the team in the next three games so we can fix Aduana’s problems together,” he said.

This marks Cioabă’s third stint with Aduana FC, having previously worked with the club in 2011 and 2016. His first challenge will be an away game against Berekum Chelsea when the league resumes this weekend.
