Armed Robbers attack John Mensah

Ghana captain and Lyon star John Mensah and his family suffered an armed robbery attack at his home in Accra at the most expensive gated community in the capital Accra called the Trassaco Valley on Sunday.

In an interview with wife of the ‘Rock of Gibraltar’, Mrs. Henrietta Mensah, she said the robbers attacked the house around 2am Sunday dawn.

"Around 2am I received a call from security that robbers had attacked my cars at my home", she told Kwami Sefa-Kayi in an interview on the "kokrokoo" programme.

According to her,the robbers managed to break the window of her Black Cadillac Escalade and made away with some personal effects, but she remained tight lipped about the stolen belongings due to police investigations.

She said they(the robbers) were unable to enter the house after the sensitive alarm of the escalade vehicle blew.

"They attacked my neighbour about two weeks ago and made away with some dollars and a laptop", she told Peace Fm.

It was also the second time in two years that the defender’s house has come under robbers’ attack.

In the first incident, she said the robbers fired gun shots which they returned, damaging some glass windows of the house.

However his personal website confirmed the incident with a statement: "johntherock5.com can confirm that armed robbers in the early hours of yesterday (1.32am) succeeded in breaking into Henrietta Mensah, wife of Black Stars captain black Escalade four wheeler at their Trasaco (Phase 2) residence in Accra".

Meanwhile, serious questions are being asked of Trassaco about their toughness of their security in their gated community.

The matter has since been reported to the Police who are carrying on with their investigations.

Located in the prestigious residential area of East Legon ,just off the Accra-Tema motorway,Trassaco Valley is a serene enclave within minutes of Ghana's capital, Accra.

It is considered to be the most expensive gated community in the country.
