Arsenal Riding High In Premier league

…..Set to win another protest against B.A United

Berekum Arsenal F.C, having undergone major transformation prior to the commencement of the premier league is making big waves in the six week old league. They started the season on a very bright note beating major forces like Herbert Mensahs King Faisal and Okwawu United.

Arsenal having lost to Obuasi Goldfields and B.A. united resorted to legalities of the game to claim the six points they lost. In the process, a protest was lodged against Yaw Owusu of Goldfields. The Disciplinary committee upheld Arsenals protest, and accordingly awarded them with the three points they lost. Then came another protest against Daniel Bomfa of B.A United. According to Arhin Takyi, the secretary general of Arsenal, Bomfa travelled to India with International Transfer Certificate from GFA but returned to Ghana without one. The case has been called for hearing on two occasions. According to a reliable source from the FA, it has been established that Bomfah was unqualified to play in that match. The final verdict is expected n! ext week. If awarded the three points; Arsenal who are now 3rd on the league table with 11 points will topple Accra Hearts of Oak from the top of the table.

Ironically, it was Daniel Bomfa who scored the only goal of the match when the Sunyani based club hosted Arsenal in the third week league match.
