Arsenal draw with Dwarfs in a friendly match

Cape Coast, Aug. 30, GNA - An 88th minute goal scored by Berekum Arsenal's outside left, Frank Awuah enabled his side to hold Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs to a 2-2 drawn game in a friendly match at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday.

The visitors started the match on a strong note with determination to win the game and got the opener as early as the eighth minute through Awuah.

They continued to dictate the pace of the game but against the run of play, the homesters in the 18th minute took advantage of a defensive blunder by Arsenals mid-fielder, Rashid Musah to equalise. Dwarfs from then on went into 'full gear', matching their opponents boot for boot and raised the tally to 2-1 in the 44th minute through inside left Douglas Mustapha when he outpaced two defenders to slot in the ball.

The homesters resumed the second half strongly and piled pressure on their opponents and came close to increasing their goals build up on two occasions but the forwards wasted the chances that came their way. In the dying minutes of the game, Arsenals took control of the game with a series of 'raids' in the homesters vital area with Awuah who was the hero of the match shooting home a 'thunderbolt' to give his team the much needed equaliser.
