The popularity of Thomas Partey within the Arsenal fan base was evident once again when fans of the club in Mali presented him with a gift ahead of Ghana's game against Mali in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

A video shared by the Ghana Football Association on their various social media platforms captured some members of the official Arsenal fan group in Mali sharing moments with the Black Stars captain.

After the Black Stars' final training on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Partey made time to interact and take photos with the fans.

Partey also joined Black Stars coach Otto Addo to address the press ahead of the game on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

During the press conference, Partey assured Ghanaians that his long absence from the team would not be a hindrance to his performance today.

The Arsenal midfielder is counting on his experience to be advantageous against The Eagles of Mali, who have been heavily tipped to win today's game.

"I think I have been out for a while. I came back during the season and finished very well. I have played a lot of games for the national team, and I know how we have to play," asserted Partey.
"I know the system that the coach wants, and I think with the experience I have, I will be able to bring the team together and also lead the young players who are coming in so they can integrate quite easily," he added.

Since making his debut for Ghana in 2016, Thomas Partey has featured 47 times for Ghana, scoring 13 goals.
