Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has hinted at a future return to Europe following his immense success in the UAE.
The Black Stars captain’s adventure in the Gulf has so far proven a huge success having emerged the top goal scorer in the Arabian Gulf League three times since joining Al Ain in 2011.
Many, however, remain critical over Gyan’s continued stay in the UAE – believing he is good enough to play at the highest level in Europe.
The 29-year-old maintains he is happy at Al Ain, but says he could return to Europe anytime in the future.
“I am happy where I am now because statistically I am scoring more now than when I was in Europe,” he said.
‘But you never know. Maybe a club from Europe will come for me again. “It all depends on my performance so that is where my focus will be.”
